Julie Dobrovolná Research Team

The primary focus of the group Stress and technology under prof. Dobrovolna (Research ID: G-9763-2017, ORCID No.: 0000-0001-5327-808X) is i) on neurochemical and neuroendocrine mechanisms in the body that support coping with stress and ii) development of novel approaches to stress measurement/mitigation. The secondary, more specific focus relies mainly on i) harmonizing the available definitions of stress across fields, ii) investigating the available cellular markers of stress, iii) translating the knowledge on biomarkers on stress into real-world scenarios (e.g. by development of flexible sensors), iv) providing robust base for mathematical modelling of homeostasis using AI-based tools and v) providing meaningful procedures for stress measurement/mitigation in extreme terrestrial as well as extra-terrestrial settings. The tertiary focus of the group is to act actively in the technology transfer area using our previous experience with transfer of IP from university to business and provide as quick transfer of knowledge from the bench to the market as possible.
